Getting Started

Starting therapy can be a significant step toward self-discovery and healing. When you begin therapy with us, you can expect a safe, supportive, and confidential environment.

Mini Consult

We understand that starting therapy can feel like a big step, and finding the right therapist is crucial to your journey. That's why we offer a free 15-minute meet and greet session. This is a no-obligation opportunity for you to meet your potential therapist, ask any questions you might have, and get a feel for their therapeutic style. It's a chance for you to see if you feel comfortable with them and if they are the right fit for your needs. We believe in making therapy a collaborative process, and this initial meeting is an important first step in building a therapeutic relationship that works for you.

Initial Assessment

The initial assessment is a crucial step in your therapy journey. This session is designed to give your therapist a comprehensive understanding of your needs, concerns, and goals. It's a time for you to share your story, discuss what brought you to therapy, and explore your expectations. Your therapist will ask questions about your history, current situation, and any specific challenges you're facing. This information helps your therapist tailor a treatment plan that's unique to you. Remember, this is a collaborative process, and your input is invaluable. The initial assessment is not just about gathering information, but also about building a trusting and open therapeutic relationship.

Treatment Planning

Based on the initial assessment, your therapist will develop a personalized treatment plan. This plan outlines the therapeutic approaches that will be used, the goals of therapy, and the expected timeline for progress. This plan is not set in stone and can be adjusted as needed throughout the course of therapy.

Ongoing Therapy Sessions

Once the treatment plan is in place, you'll start your ongoing therapy sessions. These sessions are a time for you to work through the issues identified in the treatment plan, learn new skills and strategies, and track your progress. The frequency of these sessions will depend on your specific needs and the treatment plan.

Regular Check-Ins and Adjustments

Throughout your therapy journey, your therapist will regularly check in with you about your progress and make any necessary adjustments to your treatment plan. This ensures that the therapy remains responsive to your evolving needs and that you're making progress towards your goals.

Closure and Follow-Up

When you and your therapist agree that you've met your therapy goals, you'll discuss the process of ending therapy. This might involve a few closure sessions to review your progress, discuss any future concerns, and plan for maintaining the gains you've made. After therapy ends, there may be follow-up sessions or check-ins to support you in your continued wellbeing.
